Modesto Omiste is a province in the southeastern part of the Potosí department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
location
The province of Modesto Omiste is one of sixteen provinces in the Department of Potosí. It lies between 21 ° 39 'and 22 ° 06' south latitude and between 65 ° 10 'and 66 ° 08' west longitude . It borders on the province of Sur Chichas in the north, the Tarija department in the east , and the Republic of Argentina in the south and southwest . The province extends for about 120 kilometers in an east-west direction and 65 kilometers in a north-south direction.
