history

Rappoltengrün is a clearing island and belonged to the Bamberg monastery .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties in Rappoltengrün (6 estates, 5 half estates). The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center Teuschnitz . The village and township government and the manorial system had the box office Teuschnitz held. In addition to the property, there was also 1 semi-estate that was uninhabited at the time.

As a result of secularization , the place became part of Bavaria in 1803. With the community edict, Rappoltengrün was assigned to the Tschirn tax district, which was formed in 1808 . With the second community edict (1818), the rural community Rappoltengrün was formed. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the Teuschnitz district court and in financial management to the Rothenkirchen Rent Office ( renamed the Rothenkirchen Tax Office in 1919 ). In 1837 Rappoltengrün was transferred to the Nordhalben regional court . From 1862 to 1880 and from 1888 to 1931 Rappoltengrün was administered by the Teuschnitz District Office , from 1880 to 1888 and from 1931 by the Kronach District Office (renamed the Kronach District in 1939 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Nordhalben until 1879, from 1879 to 1956 the district court Nordhalben was responsible, since 1956 the district court Kronach . The financial management was taken over in 1929 by the Kronach tax office . The municipality had an area of 4.308 km².

There has been a Catholic denominational school in the village since the 19th century. The wasteland Wolfenhof was founded in the first half of the 19th century in the municipality.

On April 13, 1945, American shell fire killed three residents and damaged three buildings.

On January 1, 1975, Rappoltengrün was incorporated into Teuschnitz as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
