The Renault R31 is 22 Formula 1 - racing cars from Renault and the second since the takeover of the racing team by Genii Capital. The car designed by James Allison took part in all 19 races of the 2011 Formula 1 season and was initially driven by the German Nick Heidfeld and the Russian Vitaly Petrow . After eleven races, Heidfeld was replaced by the Brazilian Bruno Senna . Rob White of Renault developed the V8 engine RS27-2011 with KERS .
