The Renault R30 is a Formula 1 racing car and was the Renault F1 Team's car for the 2010 Formula 1 season . It was the team's first vehicle under the control of Genii Capital .
Development and technology
The racing car is powered V8 - Renault -Motor RS27 . It was developed by technical director James Allison , chief designer Tim Densham and the head of the aerodynamics department, Dirk de Beer .
2010 season
The car was driven by the drivers Robert Kubica and the newcomer Vitaly Petrov . The presentation took place on 31 January 2010 at the Spanish Valencia instead. After the main sponsor of the ING Groep, along with several other sponsors, had already been lost in the course of the previous year , the R30 was painted completely in yellow with black stripes. This color scheme should be reminiscent of the 1978 season when Renault made its Formula 1 debut.
The team was able to surprise with unexpectedly good results at the beginning of the season, including Kubica's second place in the Australian Grand Prix . His teammate had to end the first three races prematurely due to technical defects or a spinning in Australia, but was able to score points for the first time at the Chinese Grand Prix with seventh place. By the end of the season the team had collected 163 points and was fifth in the constructors' championship.
Others
At the beginning of 2012 a Renault R30 was sold to the tire manufacturer Pirelli . He carries out tire test drives with the vehicle.
A Renault R30 (car 11) can now be seen in the Designer Outlet Roermond .
