The Rhapsody of the Seas is a cruise ship of Royal Caribbean International . It belongs to the Vision class.

history

The Rhapsody of the Seas had on 11 December 1995 in the French shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique their keel was laid . The launch took place on August 1, 1996 and the maiden voyage with the Royal Caribbean International  finally on May 19, 1997.

In March 2012 the ship was extensively modernized. Among other things, the cabins were redesigned, the entertainment offering expanded and several technical innovations, such as ship-wide WLAN reception, were installed on the ship.

Incidents

On March 24, 1998, when the ship was docking at the port of Curaçao , the 23-year-old Amy Lynn Bradley suddenly disappeared from the ship without a trace. Although authorities did not believe she was drowning, she has not been found to this day.
