It was an old fiefdom of the family v. Bandemer , which was mentioned in a document as early as 1493. In 1774 the Roggatz estate was given to Lorenz Friedrich v. Pirch sold, of which Nikolaus Christoph v. Somnitz took over. Around 1784 Roggatz had a farm , three farmers, a kossät , a schoolmaster and a total of ten households. In 1804 Wilhelm Lorenz v. Somnitz the owner. In 1839 the estate was sold and came into the possession of the Holtz family.

Until 1945 the rural community belonged to the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After the region was occupied by the Red Army on March 8, 1945 towards the end of World War II , it was placed under Polish administration after the war. The German population was then driven out of Roggatz by the Poles .
