Bydlino (German Bedlin , Kashubian Bëdlëno ) is a village near Słupsk in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .
Geographical location
Bydlino is located in Western Pomerania , halfway between Słupsk ( Stolp ) and Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) at the junction of voivodship road 210 over the river Słupia ( Stolpe ). Neighboring villages are Charnowo ( Arnshagen ) in the northwest, Machowino ( Groß Machmin ) in the northeast and Strzelinko ( Klein Strellin ) and Strzelino ( Groß Strellin ) in the south. To the east the village borders on the 38 meter high Bedliner Berg .
history
The small village, in its beginnings a Gassendorf was, in former times also Beddelin called. According to documents, it was owned by the von Schwaven family in 1485 and then by the von Lettow family since 1626 . In 1784, there was one in Bedlin Vorwerk , a grain and saw mill, three farmers, three Kossäten , a schoolmaster and eleven fireplaces (households).
Before 1945 Bedlin belonged to the district of Stolp in the administrative district of Köslin in the province of Pomerania . In 1925 there were 23 houses in the village. The parish area was 527 hectares. In 1939 there were 57 households and 198 inhabitants. The last landowner in Bedlin before 1945 was Konrad von Uckermann († 1973 in Weißenburg in Bavaria ).
Towards the end of the Second World War , Bedlin was occupied by the Red Army on March 8, 1945 and then part of Poland together with the whole of Western Pomerania. During the year, Poland took over the houses and farms. They were predominantly eastern Poland from the Suwałki ( Suwalken ) area. The villagers were expelled in 1945/46 . Later, 93 villagers displaced from Bedlin in the Federal Republic of Germany and 59 in the GDR were identified.
Bedlin was renamed Bydlino . In 2007 the village had 212 inhabitants.
