history

Flinkow southeast of Stolpmünde on the Baltic Sea (left half of the picture, can be enlarged by clicking) and north of Stolp on a map from 1910.

Before the end of World War II , the farming village of Flinkow included the districts of Neu Flinkow and Neumühl. Both districts were located in the southeast of the district of Flinkow outside the village center. Around 1784 there were ten farmers with the Schulzen, one Kossaten , seven Büdner , including the blacksmith, a schoolmaster and a total of 19 households.

Flinkow belonged to the end of World War II to the county Stolp in Administrative district Köslin of Pomerania . In 1925 there were 121 houses in Flinkow. The parish area was 884 hectares. In 1939 there were 189 households and 734 residents.

Towards the end of the Second World War , Flinkow was occupied by the Red Army on May 8, 1945 and then placed under Polish administration together with all of Western Pomerania. About 30 residents died as a result of the kidnapping and typhus. In September and October 1945, Poles invaded the village and forcibly took houses and homesteads, often at night. The villagers were deported westwards . 74 residents are missing, 44 civilians died in acts of war or during displacement. Later, 254 villagers displaced from Flinkow in the Federal Republic of Germany and 199 in the GDR were identified.

Flinkow was renamed in Fłynkowo and Neu Flinkow in Włynkówko .
