Krzemienica (German Steinwald ) is a village near Słupsk ( Stolp ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .
Geographical location
Steinwald is located in Western Pomerania , about 14 kilometers west of Stolp and 119 kilometers west of the regional metropolis of Gdansk . Neighboring towns are Klein Brüskow in the east, Schwulow in the south and Mützenow and Starkow in the northwest.
history
Steinwald is a small farming village that only became an independent rural community through settlement in the 19th century. In 1925 there were 43 houses in the village. In 1939 there were 43 farms and a total of 52 households. Steinwald had a single-stage elementary school, which was supervised by a single teacher and in which some of the school children from Groß Brüskow were also taught. In 1932 32 school children went to school in Steinwald. Steinwald was a stop on the Schlawe - Stolpmünde railway line.
On March 8, 1945, the region was occupied by the Red Army and then placed under Polish administration together with all of Western Pomerania.

Parish
Steinwald belonged partly to the parish of Groß Brüskow and Mützenow in the parish of Stolp-Stadt and partly to the parish of Peest in the parish of Schlawe.

The place forms a Schulzenamt in the Gmina Słupsk ( rural municipality Stolp ) in the Powiat Słupski ( Stolper Kreis ) of the Pomeranian Voivodeship .
