German Chess League 2019/20 (Austria)

The German Chess League 2019/20 was the 45th season of the Austrian Chess League . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the competition was canceled after 8 out of 11 rounds and the intermediate result counted as the final result. The champion was SK Sparkasse Jenbach , while the defending champion SV Raika Rapid Feffernitz had to be content with third place. The SK Sparkasse Bad Vöslau (group east), the game community Fürstenfeld / Hartberg (center) and SK Bregenz (west) were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga . While Fürstenfeld / Hartberg and Bad Vöslau achieved relegation, Bregenz, together with SK Mayrhofen / Zell / Zillertal and Union Ansfelden, had to relegate directly.
