Castle Riedenburg is the name of two Disposed castles in Riedenburg in the town of Bad Fussing in the district of Passau in Bavaria .

history

1193 came the castle together with the places Aufhausen , Aufhoven to the stephanischen Aigen , Irching , Egglfing , Safferstetten and Riedenburg as rule Riedenburg to the Hochstift Passau . The Riedenburg was the seat of a nursing court . After the first castle burned down in 1373, the castle was rebuilt. From 1480, Aigen am Inn was the seat of the rulership, although it continued to bear the name Riedenburg. In 1685 the second castle burned down completely. The Castle Aigen am Inn that 1704 was rebuilt as Plegamtssitz was also Prince Bishop's Castle Neuriedenburg called.
