The Rosskopf transmitter is a radio and TV transmitter site operated by RAS and RAI near Sterzing . It is located on the 2189  m high Rosskopf in a ridge that descends to the northeast . A 50-meter-high, free-standing steel framework mast, which was erected in the autumn of 1980, is used as the antenna carrier.
