The Sneschinka ( Russian Снежинка , translated snowflake ; English transcription Snezhinka ) is a ski jumping facility in the town of Tchaikovsky in the Perm region in the western foothills of the Ural Mountains . The facility includes two smaller jumps of category K 20, K 40 , a middle hill of category K 65, a normal hill of category K 95 and a large hill of category K 125. The jumps were covered with plastic matting after the renovation. The facility is connected to a winter sports school that teaches 150 students.

history

Sneschinka ski center

After the first 40 meter ski jump was built in 1980, the facility was expanded until 1985. After the construction of a biathlon facility began in 2009, the groundbreaking ceremony for the five new ski jumps followed in 2010. In March 2012, the Russian ski jumping championships were held on the newly built ski jumps in Tchaikovsky. In September 2012, the first Continental Cup competitions took place on the facility, and in January 2014 the first women's world cup competition. The ski jumps have also been the station of the Ski Jumping Grand Prix since 2015 .
