future

Reactivation of the Zabergäu or Bottwartalbahn , whereby the reactivation of the Zabergäu is more realistic as the tracks are still available.

The following lines would result.

line course
Zabergäu Main station / Willy-Brandt-Platz - Heilbronn Böckingen - Heilbronn Klingenberg - Lauffen am Neckar -

Brackenheim - Zaberfeld - ( Leonbronn - / Bretten )

Bottwartal Main station / Willy-Brandt-Platz - Flein - Untergruppenbach - Abstatt - Beilstein - Oberstenfeld - Großbottwar - Marbach

The extension of the S 4 to Künzelsau and Schwäbisch Hall has also been an issue for a long time .

For the routes to Künzelsau , however, new tracks would have to be laid.

Hybrid trains would be needed on both routes, with the Hohenlohebahn (Heilbronn - Crailsheim) between Öhringen and Schwäbisch Hall being electrified.
