Survivor (Alternative title: Survivor - survival at any cost ; chase through London ) is an US-American - British action - thriller from director James McTeigue from the year 2015 . Milla Jovovich , Pierce Brosnan and Dylan McDermott can be seen in the leading roles . Kate Abbott, a security expert working for Homeland Security , is stationed at the US Embassy in London. There she screened people applying for a visa to the United States for suspicious evidence of a terrorist background. When she told the Romanian scientist Dr. Emil Balan makes difficulties with his visa application, terrorists commission the professional killer Nash, known as the "watchmaker", to get them out of the way. While having dinner with her colleagues, she accidentally left the restaurant for a short time when the watchmaker carried out a bomb attack and killed everyone present. Shortly afterwards, she meets the watchmaker on the street who then chases her through London. As they are in Hyde Park hidden, she meets her colleague Bill Talbot, who carried a hidden in their security badge GPS - tracking device has tracked. He tries to kill her, but is shot himself in a scuffle. Meanwhile, her superior Sam Parker rushes to help, but arrives too late. Inspector Anderson believes, based on cell phone videos, that she deliberately killed Talbot and is now being searched for.
With the help of the bitter Dr. Balan, who five years ago could not bring his sick and now deceased wife to the United States for treatment because of a refused entry visa, the terrorists are planning a major attack during New Year's Eve celebrations in New York's Times Square . For test purposes, they blow up a building complex in London - with a smaller explosive device than the one planned for New York.
Meanwhile, the hunt for Kate continues from all sides through central London; only Sam Parker believes in her innocence. The watchmaker stays on her heels with a converted GPS receiver. Kate breaks into Talbot's apartment and meets Parker there. Together they discover a video of Talbot's son Johnny, who was held prisoner by militias after being shot down by a helicopter over Afghanistan. With the help of Bill Talbot, they have already smuggled several terrorists into the United States through blackmail. When the watchmaker also arrives at the apartment, he seriously injures Parker with a grenade. Kate barely escapes, but is now a target of the secret services as she is accused of injuring Parker.
With the help of computer specialist Sally, Kate arrives at the US embassy to look for evidence of her innocence. At a computer terminal, she discovers that Dr. Balan is already on his way to New York. Ambassador Crane ignores Sally's warning because she thinks it is a distraction from Kate's own person.
Kate flies to New York City with a fake passport. Under Dr. In the meantime, Balan's tour, the smuggled chemists produce the highly explosive gas mixture and fill it in Times Square in the Times Square Ball . Dr. Balan and the watchmaker climb a high-rise roof from which they want to detonate the bullet with a sniper rifle. Kate arrives at the last second and knocks the watchmaker off the skyscraper in a fight.
