The TSV 1865 Dachau is a sports club from the district town Dachau . The club is home to the departments of aikido , baseball , basketball , archery , darts , fencing , football , handball , judo , rock 'n' roll , taekwondo , tennis , table tennis and gymnastics .

history

The association was founded in 1865. In 1921, the club's own sports field, Ludwig-Böswirth-Platz, was built in Augustenfeld. After the club was closed in 1942, the club was rebuilt after 1950. Between 1956 and 1959, a sports hall was built on the sports field. In 2006 the TSV took over the insolvent SSV Dachau-Ost association with all 430 members, departments and properties. For this, the association sold its former workplaces.

Departments

Taekwondo

The Taekwondo department of the association was founded as a department of the former SSV Dachau-Ost in the 1970s. Since 1976 members of the club have won several regional, German and international championships. The active athletes are trained by Reinhard Langer , himself a five-time German champion, European champion and Olympic gold medalist in 1988. Today, Dachau is an Olympic base.

The football department of the TSV was founded in 1912. It was the first independent department of the club. After only playing friendly matches in the first year, they joined the South German Football Association . 1917 was first played in the league game. In the first season, the team was champions of the Munich district, ahead of TSV 1860 Munich and FC Bayern Munich . In 1918 they came third behind these clubs. After the First World War , the club started in the A-class. The team played there until 1921 and then rose to the then highest Bavarian soccer league, the Bayernliga Süd. After only one season, he was relegated again in 1922. Since then, the football department has not been able to achieve any national successes worth mentioning.

From the beginning of the third millennium, the first men's team played mostly in the eight-class district league Upper Bavaria North. The season 2009/10 ended the TSV 1865 in first place in the district league, but had to contest a play-off for the championship title against TSV Manching with the same number of points , which was lost on penalties. In the promotion relegation as runner-up you lost to SV Raisting . The following year, TSV Dachau was again runner-up and lost in the promotion relegation 2011 against SC Kirchheim .

In the 2011/12 season, TSV became champions of the Upper Bavarian regional league and finally celebrated promotion to the newly founded, six-class regional league in the promotion games against FC Gerolfing .

At the end of the 2013/14 season Dachau celebrated the championship of the Landesliga Südost and rose to the fifth-class Bayernliga Süd . There, the club has established itself in the midfield with twelfth (2014/15) and eighth (2015/16). In 2015/16 TSV 1865 was the most successful soccer team in the Dachau district ahead of FC Pipinsried .

The current player-coach of TSV 1865 is the former Bundesliga professional Fabian Lamotte . Another ex-professional who was active for the club at short notice is Andreas Brysch .

Quirin Moll , who was in the squad for the second division club Eintracht Braunschweig in 2016/17 , began his career in the youth team of TSV 1865 Dachau.

Basketball - Dachau Spurs

The Dachau Spurs currently play in the 1st Regional Basketball League Southeast. Christian Stüber is the record player with a total of 226 competitive appearances for the club. The game hall is the Jahnhalle in Dachau on Jahnstrasse. The TSV also plays in numerous youth teams (u10 district league, u12 district league, u13w district league, U14 district league, u16 district league, u17w district league, u18 district league).
