history

The place was mentioned in 1301 as Tirgarten . It was a square village in block and hallway . Thiergarten belonged to the Plauen office until the 19th century . The community then belonged to the Plauen administration , which was later renamed "Landkreis Plauen". On July 1, 1950, it was incorporated into the then still independent city of Plauen .
