Truttikon is a municipality in the Andelfingen district of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland .
geography
The municipality is located in the Zürcher Weinland in a slightly hilly landscape. 64.5% of the municipal area is used for agriculture, 28.5% is covered with forest, 1.8% is traffic area and 4.8% is settlement area.
politics
The SVP has 42.45%, the SP 13.45%, the Greens 9.97%, the FDP 9.39%, the EDU 8.48%, the EPP 5.59%, the glp 4.57%, the BDP 2.08%, the good 1.44% and the CVP 1.01% of the vote ( National Council election 2019 ).
The mayor is Sergio Rämi (as of 2020).

history
Truttikon was first mentioned as Truttaninchova in 858. At that time, lands in Truttikon were donated to the Rheinau monastery .
In 1556 Truttikon was sold to the Augustinian monastery in Kreuzlingen , which owned it until 1798. The community was part of the County of Kyburg and subsequently came to the city of Zurich by inheritance in 1452.
By resolution of the Cantonal Council, the existing civil parish was raised to the status of a political municipality on January 1, 1879 .

The coat of arms is a new creation from the time around 1878, when the civil parish of Trüllikon was dissolved and converted into a political municipality. The coat of arms symbolizes traditional viticulture in Truttikon and has been the official coat of arms of the municipality since the end of 1930 in its current color.
