history

On April 27, 1896, the so-called " Valsugana Railway " was opened between Trento and the town of Tezze, a district of the municipality of Grigno on the Italian border . The line on the Italian side was put into operation in three sections between 1908 (Mestre-Bassano del Grappa), 1909 (Bassano del Grappa-Carpanè Valstagna) and 1910 (Carpanè Valstagna-Primolano). A border station was built in Primolano .
