Piombino Dese is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9520 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Padua in Veneto . The municipality is located about 24 kilometers northeast of Padua . Piombino Dese borders directly on the province of Treviso and is located south of the Parco naturale regional del Fiume Sile .
history
1152 the place is in a bull of Pope Eugene III. mentioned. Eventually he came under the rule of the Republic of Venice . Andrea Palladio built Villa Cornaro here in the middle of the 16th century , which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Piombino Dese and its train station are on the Trento – Venice railway line . The district of Levada also had a train station ( Levada-Badoere , district of Morgano ) until the line from Treviso to Ostiglia was closed .
