Conselve is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 10,177 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Padua in Veneto . The municipality is located about 19 kilometers south of Padua on the Adige plain.

history

San Lorenzo Cathedral

The village of Conselve was first mentioned in 954 as Caput Silvae or Caput Silvis . In 1944 a retaliatory action by the SS took place here, in which numerous residents of Conselve were victims.
