Pozzonovo is a north-east Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3534 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Padua in Veneto . The municipality is located about 24 kilometers south-southwest of Padua .

history

Pozzonovo is first mentioned in a document as Puthei Novi in the middle of the 13th century . Pozzonovo has been an independent municipality since 1927.

On the northeastern edge, the A13 autostrada runs from Padua to Bologna through the municipality. At Pozzonovo there is a small airfield ( Aviosuperficie Colli Euganei ) for general aviation .
