Battaglia Terme is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3900 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Padua in Veneto . The municipality is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Padua on the Parco regional dei Colli Euganei .
history
The geothermal activity of the region around the Euganean Hills means that warm water can be obtained here and in some neighboring communities. Since the time around 1000 it can be assumed that there was a settlement on the site of today's village. The Canale Bisatto , which joins the Canale Battaglia in the north , runs through the center of the village .

The eastern border of the municipality forms the Strada Statale 16 Adriatica , which runs parallel to the A13 and leads on this section from Padua towards Rovigo and on to Ferrara and the Adriatic coast . Battaglia Terme train station is on the Padua – Bologna line .
