Trebaseleghe is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 12,998 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Padua in Veneto . The municipality is located about 25 kilometers northwest of Venice and about 25 kilometers northeast of Padua . Trebaseleghe borders directly on the provinces of Venice and Treviso .

history

In a bull of Pope Eugene III. the village is first mentioned in a document. The strategically favorable location led in the beginning of the 16th century (1509) to battles for supremacy in the region between the Republic of Venice and the League of Cambrai .

traffic

The Strada Regionale 245 Castellana runs through the municipality from Mestre to Bassano del Grappa . There is a small train station (since 2005) on the Trento – Venice railway line .
