Teolo is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9038 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Padua in Veneto . The municipality is located about 17 kilometers southwest of Padua in the Parco regional dei Colli Euganei on Rocca Pendice . The administrative center of the municipality is in the hamlet of Treponti .

The abbey of Praglia ( Abbazia di Praglia ), a Benedictine abbey in the Colli Euganei, dates from the 11th century . The village of Teolo may however go back to a Roman post from the second century BC.
