Selvazzano Dentro is a northeastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 23,207 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Padua in Veneto . The municipality is located about five kilometers west-southwest of Padua on the Bacchiglione .

history

Excavation finds indicate the first settlement in the Bronze Age (approx. 12th century BC). In ancient times and in the Middle Ages, the Bacchiglione was grained from here . With the strengthening of the Republic of Venice , Selvazzano Dentro 1405 becomes part of the dominion.
