Views is the fourth album by the Canadian rapper Drake . It was released on April 29, 2016 under the labels Young Money Entertainment , Cash Money Records and Republic Records and is assigned to the hip-hop genre.

"Views" is Drake's fourth studio album. The album was produced in a two-year period. In addition to Drake and 40 as executive producers , many more were involved in the production, including the American rapper Kanye West .

The album cover was released on April 24, 2016 on Drake's Twitter account. It shows him sitting on the roof of the CN Tower . Calculations that showed that the proportions could not be correct and that Drake must be over four meters tall according to the picture, have been widely discussed.

The album received mixed reviews. Der Spiegel calls the album "Hip-Hop with Feeling" and praises the authenticity of the individual songs: "With Drake, the feelings are dirty, stylized, funny, sad - almost like in real life."

Laut.de awarded two out of five stars and criticized the fact that Drake was resting on his previous fame at Views and barely “thinking outside the box”. Instead, he continues to pursue his concept of success and does not dare to venture “risky forays into unknown territory”.

At the Grammy Awards in 2017 was Views in the category Best Rap Album nominated, but lost Coloring Book of Chance the Rapper .
