Vigneti della Serenissima

Vigneti della Serenissima DOC or simply Serenissima DOC is the name for sparkling wines that are produced in the provinces of Belluno , Treviso , Padua , Vicenza and Verona and that have been a controlled "designation of origin " ("Denominazione di origine controllata" -  DOC ), which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

Cultivation

The cultivation is permitted in the five provinces mentioned in precisely defined areas.

generation

The following grape varieties may be used to produce the sparkling wines :
Chardonnay and / or Pinot bianco and / or Pinot nero . It is not prescribed in what proportions the grape varieties must be used.

  • Vigneti della Serenissima or Serenissima - must mature for at least 12 months
  • Vigneti della Serenissima Rosé or Serenissima Rosé - must mature for at least 12 months
  • Vigneti della Serenissima Millesimato or Serenissima Millesimato - must mature for at least 24 months
  • Vigneti della Serenissima Riserva or Serenissima Riserva - must mature for at least 36 months
