Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio

Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG or Fior d'Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG is an Italian white wine produced in the Veneto region , Italy (also called passito or sparkling wine ). The wines have enjoyed the status of a Denominazione di origine controllata (DOC for short) since August 3, 1993 . In 2011 the area was upgraded to a DOCG denomination ( Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita = "controlled and guaranteed designation of origin"). The last change to the production regulations is dated March 7, 2014.

Cultivation

The growing area includes the following municipalities (all in the province of Padua): Arquà Petrarca , Galzignano Terme and Torreglia as well as parts of the municipalities of Abano Terme , Montegrotto Terme , Battaglia Terme , Due Carrare , Monselice , Baone , Este , Cinto Euganeo Lozzo Atestino , , Rovolon , Cervarese Santa Croce , Teolo and Selvazzano Dentro .

In 2017, 9,041 hl of DOCG wine were produced.

  • Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio or Fior d'Arancio Colli Euganei Spumante
  • Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio or Fior d'Arancio Colli Euganei Passito

All wines must consist of at least 95% Moscato Giallo grape variety . A maximum of 5% other analogous, aromatic grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the province of Padua may be added.
