Lison-Pramaggiore

White, red and sparkling wines are produced under the name Lison-Pramaggiore in the northern Italian provinces of Venice and Treviso and the former province of Pordenone ( Friuli-Venezia Giulia ), which since June 4, 1971 the status of a Denominazione di origine controllata (short DOC). The last update was published on March 7, 2014. In 1974 the "Consorzio Volontario Tutela Vini DOC Lison Pramaggiore" was founded from a merger of the three DOC Merlot di Pramaggiore and Cabernet di Pramaggiore as well as Tocai di Lison .

The following types of wine are produced within this denomination:

Blended wines ( Cuvées )
  • Lison-Pramaggiore Bianco : must consist of at least 50–70% Tai grape variety . A maximum of 50% other white grape varieties may be added (individually or together).
  • Lison-Pramaggiore Rosso : must consist of 50–70% Merlot grapes . A maximum of 50% other red grape varieties may be added (individually or together).
  • Lison-Pramaggiore Spumante : must consist of the Chardonnay and / or Pinot bianco and / or Pinot nero grape varieties . Shares are not required.
Almost single origin wines

There is a minimum maturation period for the following predicate wines, calculated from November 1st of the respective harvest year , before they can be sold:

  • Merlot, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Rosso “Riserva”: 24 months
  • Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso “ Passito ”: 18 months
  • Verduzzo “Passito”: 12 months

  • Color : straw yellow, with partly greenish and sometimes golden reflections
  • Smell : fine, pleasant
  • Taste : dry, sometimes soft with a pleasant wood tone
  • Alcohol content at least 11.0% vol.
  • Acid content : min 5.0 g / l
  • Dry extract : min. 16.0 g / l

Lison Pramaggiore Rosso

  • Color : ruby ​​red when young, tending to garnet red as it matures
  • Smell : vinous, intense and pleasant
  • Taste : dry, harmonious, sometimes with a pleasant wood tone
  • Alcohol content at least 11.5% vol. With the label "Riserva" at least 12%
  • Acidity : min 4.5 g / l
  • Dry extract : min. 20.0 g / l
