Vivo is a Brazilian company in the telecommunications based in Londrina and in the Bovespa index of the Stock Exchange of São Paulo listed.

Vivo is one of the largest wireless operators in Brazil and the rest of Latin America with over 76 million wireless users. Vivo was created from the merger of various state-owned Brazilian telecommunications companies. Until mid-2010 it was a joint venture between the Portuguese company Portugal Telecom and the Spanish company Telefónica .

In July 2013, Vivo was acquired by Telefónica Brasil . Vivo is engaged in the provision of mobile telecommunication services. The company was formerly known as Global Telecom. Vivo was founded in 1972 and is based in Londrina , Brazil.
