BB Seguridade (Banco do Brasil Seguridade) is a Brazilian insurance company based in Brasília . The company's activities are divided into two segments: insurance and brokerage. The insurance division offers life, property and casualty insurance, motor insurance, special risks, financial and transport insurance, health insurance, private pension and capital insurance as well as reinsurance. The Brokerage division focuses on brokering insurance, managing retirement and capitalization plans, and promoting insurance and reinsurance products. It also provides advice on choosing insurance. The company's subsidiaries include BB Seguros Participacoes SA and BB Cor Participacoes SA .
BB Seguridade was founded on December 20, 2012 by Banco do Brasil. On April 29, 2013 BB Seguridade was listed in the “Novo Mercado” segment of the Brazilian Bovespa stock exchange . It was the largest initial public offering in the history of BM & F Bovespa.
