WWE Fastlane 2017 was a wrestling event of WWE , as per view Pay and on the WWE Network aired. It was held on March 5, 2017 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee , Wisconsin , United States . It was the third edition of Fastlane since 2015, the first time the event took place in March and in the US state of Wisconsin.

In the run-up to the event, eight matches were scheduled, one of which was for the pre-show . These resulted from the storylines shown in the weeks leading up to Fastlane on Raw , one of WWE's weekly shows. Two more matches took place unannounced. The main fight was a match for the WWE Universal Championship between title holder Kevin Owens and his challenger Goldberg .

Notes on the event
- The following title change occurred during the event:
- Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens in a singles match and received the WWE Universal Championship .
- During the event, the tag team separated from Rusev and Jinder Mahal , which had previously only existed for almost two months.
- The following matches took place unannounced:
- Cesaro versus Jinder Mahal , which ended in a win for Cesaro;
- Big Show against Rusev , which ended in a win for Big Show.
- Sasha Banks came to the ring during the match for the WWE Raw Women's Championship , distracting Charlotte Flair several times and thus helping Bayley successfully defend his title.
- Chris Jericho came on stage shortly after the start of the match for the WWE Universal Championship , distracting his former ally and current rival Kevin Owens and helping Goldberg , who had only returned to the WWE in November 2016 after twelve years, to win the title.
