The constituency of Bischofswerda was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 38. For the state elections in 1994 and 1999 , the constituency structure was changed. The area of the constituency of Bischofswerda became part of the constituencies of Bautzen 1 (51), West Lusatia 1 (53) and Saxon Switzerland 2 (50).
The constituency included all 30 municipalities in the county Bischofswerda : Bischofswerda , Bretnig , Buehlau , Burkau , Demitz-Thumitz , Frankenthal , Goldbach , Großdrebnitz , Großharthau , Grossroehrsdorf , Kleinröhrsdorf , Lauterbach , Lichtenberg , Naundorf , Neukirch / Lausitz , Ohorn , Pohla , Pulsnitz , Putzkau , Rammenau , Ringenhain , Rothnaußlitz , Schmiedefeld , Schmölln / OL , Schönbrunn / Lausitz , Seeligstadt , Steinigtwolmsdorf , Tröbigau , Uhyst am Taucher and Weifa .
