The Wiesenau nature reserve belongs to the Spreewald biosphere reserve and is located in the area of the city of Lübben in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .
The area with the identification number 1276 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of October 1, 1990 . The approximately 135 hectare nature reserve extends east of Hartmannsdorf , a district of the city of Lübben. On the northern edge of the area the Lachsluch II extends . The Spree flows through the western area and the L 42 state road runs to the east .

The area comprises a "diverse mosaic of habitats with open parks, ponds , oxbow lakes , silting areas , wet meadows and dry grassland, as well as various types of forest"
