The Pätzer Kiesgrube nature reserve is located in the municipality of Bestensee in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . It belongs to the Dahme-Heideseen nature park .
The area with the identification number 1220 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of March 5, 2002 . The approximately 15.5 hectare nature reserve extends south of Pätz , a district of Bestensee. The B 179 runs east of the area and the A 13 runs west . To the north extends the Pätzer Vorderesee and to the west the 462 hectare nature reserve Pätzer Hintersee with the Pätzer Hintersee .
Nature reserve
The ordinance on the nature reserve includes the following protection purposes:
"[...] as a habitat for wild plant communities, especially locations exposed to light and heat, such as sandy corridors, dry grasslands, woody and forest stands, as well as mesotrophic waters, silted reeds and forests of wetlands [...] as a habitat for wild animal species, especially those on nutrient-poor, semi-open and Bird species, insects, amphibians and reptiles, adapted to structure-rich habitats [...] of the habitats and occurrences of plant species specially protected according to § 20a Paragraph 1 No. 7 and 8 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act, such as stiff and broad-leaved orchid, marsh sitter, knotty grass lily and sand Straw flower [...] of the habitats of animal species that are specially and strictly protected according to Section 20a, Paragraph 1, No. 8 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act, such as kingfisher, sand martin, common pipit, woodlark, little ringed plover, grass snake, sand lizard, several amphibian species, walker, large and small dragonfly, Blue-winged wasteland insect and blue-winged sand schrec ke [...] for ecological reasons, in particular the preservation of former raw soil outcrops for succession processes on wet and dry locations "
