The Dubrow nature reserve is located in the municipality of Heidesee in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . It belongs to the Dahme-Heideseen nature park .
description
The 212.52 hectare area with the identification number 1218 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of May 1, 1961 . The nature reserve, which is part of the 1300 hectare Dubrow forest area , extends southwest of Prieros , a district of the Heidesee municipality . The Schmöldesee extends on the eastern and southeastern edge of the area with the Förstersee and on the southern edge of the 114 hectare wooden lake . The B 179 runs to the west and the Radeberge nature reserve also extends here . To the southeast, on the other side of the Schmöldesees, lies the NSG Katzenberge .

Natura 2000 and FFH areas
The NSG Dubrow is part of the coherent European ecological network of special protection areas Natura 2000 . The profile of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) contains the following characterization for the 263.33 hectare FFH area under the number 3748-307:
"Terminal moraine bounded by channel lakes with sessile oak forests, meeting of thermophilic, boreal and Atlantic species"
Flora and fauna

Among the habitat types, the FFH profile lists the following plant and forest communities : transitional and swinging lawn bogs (Natura 2000 code 7140; Caricion lasiocarpae and Rhynchosporion albae ), peat bog ravines with rush communities (7150; Rhynchosporion ), old acidic oak forests Sandy soils with English oak (9190), bog forests (91D0) and natural and near-natural nutrient-rich still waters with spawning or frog-bite communities (3150; natural eutrophic lakes with magnopotamion or hydrocharition type vegetation).
Animals
According to Annex II of the Flora-Fauna-Habitat Directive and the ordinance of the state, including their habitats that are important for reproduction, nutrition, migration and wintering, are particularly protected: among mammals, the otter ( Lutra lutra ) and the great mouse-eared mouse ( Myotis myotis ), among the amphibians / reptiles the northern crested newt ( Triturus cristatus ) and among the invertebrates the great oak billy ( Cerambyx cerdo ), the great moss damsel ( Leucorrhinia pectoralis ) and the stag beetle ( Lucanus cervus ).
