Botho Wilhelm Graf zu Eulenburg (born July 10, 1778 in Prassen , † March 11, 1865 in Königsberg ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Wilhelm was the son of Ernst Christoph Graf zu Eulenburg (* September 10, 1754 - June 10, 1796) and his wife Katharina Margarethe Hedwig, born von der Groeben (* July 24, 1753 - July 28, 1817) from the house Weslienen. Military career

On February 21, 1815, he was transferred to the Guard Hussar Regiment , where Eulenburg rose to major on January 4, 1816 . With his appointment as regular staff officer , he came to the 7th Hussar Regiment on April 5, 1816 and was promoted to lieutenant colonel on March 30, 1830 in this position . On April 18, 1830, Eulenburg was initially commissioned to lead the 2nd Leib-Hussar Regiment and on April 23, 1831 he was appointed regimental commander. With a patent dated April 9, 1833, he was promoted to colonel on March 30, 1833 and was awarded the Order of St. Anna II Class by Emperor Nicholas I on the occasion of the Kalisch revue .
