Zaroślak [ zaˈrɔɕlak ] is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the Gmina Ruciane-Nida ( urban and rural community Rudczanny / Niedersee - Nieden ) in the powiat Piski ( Johannisburg district ).

Zaroślak is located on the river Turośl (Turoschelner , since 1938 Mittenweider Fließ) in the southeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 21 kilometers southwest of the district town of Pisz ( German Johannisburg ).
Zaroślak is located on a country road that connects Karwica (Kurwien) with Hejdyk (Heydik , 1938 to 1945 Heidig) . The nearest train station is Karwica Mazurska ( Kurwien train station) on the Olsztyn – Ełk ( German Allenstein – Lyck ) line.
history
There is no evidence of the founding and history of the forest settlement ( Osada leśna in Polish ). There is also no reference to a possible German place name before 1938. Zaroślak is a place in the network of the urban and rural municipality Ruciane-Nida in Powiat Piski , until 1998 of the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship.
Religions
On the Catholic side, Zarślak is oriented towards Karwica in the diocese of Ełk of the Polish Catholic Church . On the evangelical side, it is incorporated into the parish in Pisz in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
