Zliechov (German glassworks , Hungarian Zsolt - until 1902 Zljechó ) is a municipality in northwestern Slovakia .
It includes the districts of Zliechov and Košecké Rovné . A former district is Gápel (German Gapel ), it has belonged to the municipality of Valaská Belá since 1960 .
The place was first mentioned in writing as Zlieho in 1272 , the inhabitants were employed in agriculture. In the middle of the 18th century glassblowers came from Bohemia , who built a glassblower factory in what was then Gápel .
In the village there is the Church of St. Lawrence from 1480.
