statistics

Every year 275 graduates are awarded the Diplôme d'Ingenieur CPE , 150 of them in chemistry / process engineering and 125 students in electronics / telecommunications / IT . In addition, further training in the field of IT / networks is offered. Around 500 scientific staff work in 11 scientific working groups, which are operated in cooperation with the CNRS and the University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1 . The university has a network of around 180 industrial partnerships with companies from Germany and abroad. There are also partnerships with 77 universities .

Students and study

In order to be able to study at the CPE, the prospective students must pass a concours , an entrance examination, which is usually passed after two years at a so-called classe préparatoire . This is followed by a three-year course in one of the two courses offered . Between the second and third year of study , the majority of students complete a one-year industrial internship abroad , which is intended to prepare students for management positions in industry and business. In addition to professional and technical training, the course also includes a variety of courses on topics such as management , marketing and quality assurance .

In 2005, 51 guest students from 16 countries study at the CPE. Some of them spend in exchange programs such as B. Erasmus one or two semesters . With the University of Würzburg there is a double degree program sponsored by the Franco-German University , in which the participating students spend two years at the partner university and then acquire the diplomas from both universities. A similar program exists with the Polytechnic University of Madrid .

A lively student life is organized through a variety of student clubs and college groups. A photo club , an oenology club, a video club and a variety of sports are offered. There is also a group of Ingénieurs sans frontières ( Engineers Without Borders ) and the Junior Enterprise , a student-run company that provides services provided by students to external industrial partners.
