The Austrian women's football championship 1985/86 was the 14th championship in Austrian women's football after the 35-year break between 1938 and 1972. It consisted of the 17th edition of a top division ( women's Bundesliga ) and was organized by the Austrian Football Association . The seventh edition of a second highest division ( women's league east ) was organized by the Vienna Football Association.

Everyone played against everyone twice in a total of 14 rounds. A win was rewarded with two points, a draw with one point.

Season course

As in the previous year, the league consisted of eight clubs. The KSV Viennese vocational schools appeared as Viennese vocational schools CA on, the team DFC Alland-Brunn as DSC Austria Brunn. The 1st DFC Leoben won its first title with it.

    As in the previous year, the league consisted of five clubs. However, the B team from KSV Wiener Berufsschulen and SC Wullersdorf was not represented, but DFC Heidenreichstein and FK Leopoldau were . This season, DFC Heidenreichstein won the championship , but it is not entitled to play in the top division next season.
