The Ӓ (lower case letter ӓ ) is a letter of the Cyrillic alphabet , consisting of an А with diaeresis, which is used in the Kildinsamischen , Mari, and formerly in the Gagauz language for the sound æ .

Lately the sign has also been used in the Chantic language, where it has the sound value ɐ .
