The Te ( Т and т ) is a letter in the Cyrillic alphabet . It stands for the consonant sound / t /, of the German T is identical. If the Te is followed by a ь , it represents the sound / tʲ /. The Te looks the same as the capital letter form of the Latin T and, like the latter, is derived from the Greek Tau . In italics and in cursive the minuscule similar but the Latin letters m ; in Serbian and Macedonian again ɯ̅ - an upside down m with an overline.
