The Ӭ (lower case ӭ, IPA pronunciation / ʲɛ / ) is a letter in the Cyrillic alphabet. It consists of a Э with a trema and is a vowel that usually follows a palatalized consonant. The Ӭ was introduced in 1982 as the 41st letter in the Kildin Sami alphabet . It is also used in the alphabet of the tundra niche .
