The El ( Л and л ) is a letter in the Cyrillic alphabet . It is the thirteenth letter in the Russian alphabet and the twelfth letter in the Bulgarian alphabet . The letter represents the sound / l / represents palatalised / l /.
The letter finds its origin in the Greek alphabet , the original letter there is lambda . The relationship between the two letters can be seen particularly well in written script. Л has strong similarities with the letter П on that but for the P stands. His counterpart in the Latin script is Л in the letter L .
