The Ka ( К and к ) is a letter of the Cyrillic alphabet . It looks similar to the Latin capital letter K , its sound value is k (or palatalized ).

In the Glagolitic alphabet there was the letter Kako ( GlagolitsaKako.gif) with a numerical value of 40 in the Glagolitic number system , which is based on the Hebrew kaph . This letter was adopted in the Cyrillic alphabet, but adapted to the appearance of the Greek letter kappa . The numerical value of the letter in the Cyrillic number system is 20.
