The AMD "Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs" (in German: "Athlon-64- X2 Dual-Core Processor for Notebooks") is a notebook processor from the K9 generation .
technology
Like the closely related AMD Turion 64 X2 and later versions of its namesake for the desktop, the memory controller used in the processor uses DDR2 RAM. The processor only differs from the AMD Turion 64 X2 in the smaller L2 cache and sometimes lower clock rates.
The Athlon Neo X2 L325 is an offshoot of the Athlon 64 X2. This processor has a TDP that has been reduced to 18 W, which is mainly achieved by lowering the clock frequency to 1.5 GHz. A special socket called "ASB1" is used for the processor, on which the CPU is soldered.
Model data base S1
All processors for socket S1 have a memory controller with two channels (128 bit, dual-channel operation ) for DDR2-SDRAM , which is shared by both cores.
