AMD Live!

AMD Live! is a marketing concept from AMD in competition with Intel's Viiv brand . AMD Live! like Viiv, it is intended to mark a platform for “living room” PCs .

The computers concerned are supplied with Microsoft Windows Media Center installed and a remote control . The platform also includes a dual-core processor ( AMD Athlon 64 X2 or AMD Turion 64 X2 ). Similar to the Turion 64 concept, AMD relies on a partnership with other manufacturers such as VIA , who offer the corresponding chipsets , graphics solutions, sound chips and network connections.

The AMD LIVE! Function can be activated in the appropriately equipped computers in the BIOS system. It is intended to enable the PC to start up and shut down more quickly.
