Alcantara is a Filipino municipality in the province of Cebu .
geography
Alcantara is located about 85 km southwest of Cebu City on the west coast of the island of Cebu on the Tanon Strait . Neighboring municipalities are Argao in the east, Moalboal in the south and Ronda in the north . The landscape is generally hilly to mountainous and the climate is characterized by distinct dry and rainy seasons.
